Lots of firsts here! Needless to say I was excited. Nervous actually.
As with most events I worry about....my back gave out 3 days prior. Then predictably, 1 hour before I was to leave to shoot, I failed to navigate the last 2 bottom stairs. ( I was paying too much attention to the brand new camera I was carrying). I did a face plant into the floor (hand and knee plant actually).
" Argggg....My new freakin' camera!"
Hauling myself up off the floor I flew downstairs to test if it was still working.
"Phew!" "Still ok!" (at least it turned on).
Now I've really got to go! Gotta do the final equipment check!
"Sigh! It's all here."
I start getting ready to leave and I can't seem to find my running shoes!
"What the heck?!?"
I scoured the house from top to bottom. No Shoes!
"Could my daughter have 'borrowed" them last night'?
"She better not have!"
Rina wasn't home yet so I blew up her phone. Frantically dialing every minute to wake her butt up and ask if she'd taken my Nike's with the "custom" inserts".
But then....from upstairs I hear.
"Honey?" " Are these the shoes you're looking for?"
Of course by now, hubby had been sucked into the search for the missing runners.
I fly up the stairs and, as sure as my eyes are blue, there are the shoes.
So...as it turns out, the shoot went well and my chiropractor and I had a laugh the next day.
Till next time~
